Assistant/add chatbot button to Extracted Text footer

• in Extracted text footer, add an extra button like "Copy/Send to Chabot" which sends the text in one click to the local LLM chabot

@Sallaa do you have code I can use already for this? Does it go to a separate tool page or this will have the chatbot appear on the assistant page?

Hi @Sallaa , I have had a chat with Kalina to clarify and the goal for this third button is to send the extracted text to the chatbot tool to run automatically on the text. This would be like sending the extracted text to the Fact Check Semantic Search tool, opening that tool and running the check automatically, which the Assistant can do already.

The local LLM ChatBot requires me to have LM Studio installed, or is there an AFP model that can be used directly? Thinking most users wouldn't have LM Studio downloaded already. Also, where in the plugin can I find the ChatBot tool page?

Hi @rosannamilner for now yes, you need to use LM Studio. This is still very experimental and we are open to have other ways to run this, such as using Gemini, or using an API key. We have not yet fully fleshed this out though.

Thanks @Sallaa , I have LM Studio working with the plugin and the assistant sends the text to the chatbot which automatically submit the text. But I'm assuming this isn't to be merged asap so I won't do a PR for it until it's more urgent. I will ask internally about the potential options for an LLM and see if anyone has any helpful ideas!
