The current TinyMCE interface is overcomplicated and includes many functionalities that may not work across other rich text editors.
To avoid confusing end users, we should reduce the TinyMCE interface to what is strictly necessary, and hide functionalities like creating a table.
This probably needs to be done in the upstream repository, abtestingtools. We could create a new, simplified interface in the frontend that does not interfere with the current editor interface.
