i used the cap to make video and screenshot , i find the problem source , that is "during recording on Windows, that floating toolbar is there to give you quick controls like stop, pause, etc. You can't fully close it while recording is active,"

Thanks for the detailed report with screenshots. This appears to be related to window exclusion not being implemented for Windows.

Looking at the codebase, the recording controls toolbar (in-progress-recording window) is supposed to be excluded from screen captures, but this exclusion logic is currently macOS-only:

• In apps/desktop/src-tauri/src/recording.rs:847-856, the excluded_windows logic is wrapped in #[cfg(target_os = "macos")]
• The window_exclusion.rs resolve_window_ids function is also macOS-only

This means on Windows, Cap's own windows (including the recording controls toolbar) can get captured in the recording, which would explain the black bar appearing in the editor playback.

Current workaround: You can use the system tray icon to stop recordings instead of the floating toolbar. Right-click the Cap icon in your Windows system tray during recording for stop/pause controls.

For a potential fix, this would require implementing window exclusion for Windows, likely using Windows APIs to identify and exclude Cap's windows from the screen capture. The relevant window types to exclude are defined in CapWindowId enum in windows.rs, including RecordingControls, Camera, and overlay windows.
