Auto generation of OPL's config file doesn't work correctly

Describe the issue

I can see the installer created the conf_opl.cnf file on the OPL partition correctly but when running OPL it never reads the config file. this may be an OPL issue

• latest PSBBN Patch script (4.2.0)
• using latest opl build (v1.2.0-Beta-2241-39afed2)
• no memory cards
• official HDD adapter w/ sata conversion
• tried both 39002 & 50002 PAL consoles
• 2tb ssd, also tried another, different 2tb ssd
• the default game configs work fine (i.e. VMCs are loaded etc.) OPL just can't read its own config file from the exfat partition.

Personally, I haven't experienced any issues with OPL loading its config from exFAT. I know it can be a bit buggy, I've had reports of OPL occasionally freezing at startup when attempting to load the config, but never the issue you are describing.

What happens when you try to save the config in OPL? Does it save successfully? Does it then load the new config?

Hi.

Yes, OPL saves to MASS0 successfully but it still wont load that saved config.

I'll add my issues to that OPL issue
