Moving Web pages tabs from Container to Container application web page loses authentication - must relogin logon

I use an application (which I won't name at this time) that requires me to login w/ userid & password. I first used STG as a way to keep track of issues/tickets/jobs in various states of progress. Hence Groups that I have labelled to correlate to these various statuses (ie: New, Open, Assigned, Completed, Pending, Closed - for example). When I move a Tab to another Group - I am forced to relogin on that window (sometimes receiving a prompt for a sign-on code - which tells me that the Authorization / Session code has NOT been maintained in the move process). I am uncertain if this is a BUG / undocumented feature / or working as designed.

When first setting this up - I had to activate Firefox Multi-Account Containers; however have since disabled it - and now run with it disabled.

Can someone please shed some light on this ? Thanks.

@DoctorJ-007 First of all you need to use correct terminology. Container - is a Firefox functional feature that provide possibility to isolate site cookies and correspondingly user authorisation as usually it is cookie based. So if you really somehow change Container then it is expected behavior.

From the other side Groups of Tabs provided by STG Add-On is a group of tabs. Usually it is no matter what Containers these tabs are open. So in regular conditions tab is open in some Container and moving between Groups has no impact to Container of tab.

But STG has functional feature Always open tabs in container that provides possibility to set a Container for some group that tabs in this group should be open in. So if you have accidentality configured that then it potentially could lead to the behaviour you described: a tab in Container A -> move it to Group B (that require open tabs in Container B) -> as soon as it is moved container of tab replaced and as soon as there is not authorization cookie in Container B you receive ask to authorize.

Meanwhile, Firefox Multi-Account Containers - is Add-On for managing container but not engine for containers. So even if you disable this then you still have containers working and accessible by STG.
