The Jupyter notebooks in the notebooks folder are a bit outdated. The way the tool is configured needs to be updated and we should probably move these to the how-to guides. Running the notebooks when building the documention would avoid that they get out of date, but may not be desirable for notebooks that need to download data, especially if that data comes from ESGF.
