When word of the child reached the Rogue Prince, he claimed her at once, taking the babe from the Vale and raising her far from her mother’s halls. +She was not raised as daughters her status were. Daemon forged her as he would a weapon with hard lessons, harder expectations, and little mercy. While other children learned courtesy, Vaerra learned steel and flame. And now—whether I like it or not—we’re heading into my least favorite region of all: the Riverlands. I have complaints. Many of them. - In the first battle of the war between Heaven and Hell, a split second decision to save Valentino and Velvette costs Vox his life—or it should have, because when the smoke clears from the blast of holy power, he's gone from sinner to winner. Heaven and Hell are thrown into even more chaos, and thus the angel Gabriel, Messenger of God, takes it upon himself to ease tensions. With the newly redeemed Vox as his unwilling secretary, Gabriel takes a trip to Hell to make a deal with its princess and king. -Except Lucifer isn't sure he wants Vox around the hotel after the stunt he pulled, but when Gabriel asks him to keep an eye on the new angel, Lucifer agrees. With the fate of Heaven and Hell in the balance, Vox and Lucifer need to learn to cooperate for peace to be possible—and maybe along the way hate can melt into friendship, and then maybe something a little more. -Meanwhile, Alastor is scheming as usual and dead set on acquiring more power—perhaps he'll even *properly* usurp Lucifer as King of Hell. His plans are put into motion, but unbeknownst to him there's a bigger game being played—because for all his planning and deception, the Radio Demon didn't account for the Messenger of God. -

Kettle. I’m aware. Why do you look like shit?” -Red places his free hand on his chest, fingers spread in gentlemanly offense. “I’m merely winded from all the effort I put into saving the Pentagram from your folly.” -Uh huh. No doubt Red’s a real hero. But first, a point of clarification. “My folly?” -“When you walked straight into the most obvious ambush of all time and were used as the unwitting power source for a doomsday device that nearly killed us all.” Black-tipped ears perk forward. “Ring any bells?” -Oh, fuck him. Also, no, not really. “Well, excuse me for underestimating what you sinners are capable of. None of you have ever managed to hurt me before in all the millennia you’ve tried. Such is the case of Lute and Vaggie, until the day before daughters of a great chief of Britannia, now deprived of their home, their families and even their land; their fate is now in Rome, the center of the entire known world, where they will be sold as slaves. They both know what awaits them if that happens. But surprisingly, the man who comes to buy them doesn't seem interested in them in that way at all. She had always presented erasure as the perfect fix to their problems; as a means of simply ridding the conflict by destroying the very beings that perpetuated it. Her idea, to herself, was more than enough in her opinion. The perfect fix to all the problems within their created universe. -But the Spirits always insisted otherwise. -In her pondering, she had proposed a new creation. One more inclined to choose peace, love and unity. To achieve a balance of ‘good will’ and ‘free choice.’ -But in the rejection she was met with, the Spirits argued, ‘Free will.’ -The ability to choose; To do, to feel, to act and to believe as one pleases… -In her frustration, she wanted to simply do away with their words.
