Two big circles mystery

I'm reporting the first impressions of a new user:

There's a big circle on the bottom, okay that's the shutter button.

But next to it there's another big circle, on the right, also white.

Sure, after taking our first photo we see it ends up in that circle on the right.

However before taking our first picture it is a mystery to the new user.

Also maybe that white inner for both circles should be better filled in with some color.

One thing that would help would be if some explanatory tooltip popped up when we long press the circles.
