To maximize client ownership of Grooper, a new training program dubbed Grooper A.C.E. (Architect – Consultant – Engineer) recently debuted through BIS.
The three-tiered program is designed to give clients thorough knowledge of Grooper and its vast capabilities.

<h3>REQUIRED TEXTS AND MATERIALS</h3>
<p>As of now, all required materials will be provided by BIS on site.</p>
<h3>COURSE DESCRIPTION, GOALS, AND PREREQUISITE</h3>
<p>This course is the first in a three-tiered certification program. Throughout the sequence, our goal is to develop a foundational basis with GROOPER. During this Architect tier training course, we will devote our attention to developing a general understanding of how and why GROOPER can do what it can do, and how you can begin to leverage it to affect your business goals. Course activities will be directed toward the development and assessment of the objectives listed in Architect Certification Objectives. By the end of this course you should be able to understand and create basic Batch Processes within GROOPER. You will demonstrate these skills via a variety of in-class activities, and a final assessment at the end of the course.</p>
<h3>OVERVIEW/SCHEDULE OF TOPICS</h3>
<ul>
<li>DAY 1: Introductions, beginning concepts and general understanding of requirements and user interface</li>
<li>DAY 2: Further interaction with main components of Separation, Classification, and Extraction</li>
<li>DAY 3: Completion of GROOPER Phases 1-5, understanding, overview, and final assessment</li>
</ul>
<h3>FLUENCY OBJECTIVES</h3>
<p>All class activities, and daily interactions are directed toward developing and assessing the following objectives.</p>
<ul>
<li>1. You can confidently answer the question: What is GROOPER and how will it improve your business needs?</li>
<li>2. You understand the requirements of a GROOPER installation and means of deployment</li>
<li>3. You can setup a new GROOPER Repository and FileStore</li>
<li>4. You understand how to leverage GROOPER Services to automate tasks</li>
<li>5. You can explain the purposes of the different GROOPER applications</li>
<li>6. You can confidently navigate GROOPER Administration</li>
<li>7. You understand core vocabulary of GROOPER to differentiate unique objects and their purposes</li>
<li>8. You can explain the 5 Phases of GROOPER Process Engineering to effectively develop future Batch Processes</li>
</ul>

<h2>Level 2 - Consultant Training</h2>

<h3>COURSE DESCRIPTION, GOALS, AND PREREQUISITE</h3>
<p>This course is the second in a three-tiered certification program. Completion of Grooper A.C.E. – Architect level is required for this course. Throughout the program, our goal is to help you develop a thorough competency with Grooper. During this Consultant tier training course, we will devote attention to developing a robust and functional understanding of the different systems and objects in Grooper. As a result, you will more effectively leverage the platform to solve your business data needs. Course activities will be directed toward developing and assessing the objectives listed in Consultant Certification Objectives. By the end of this course you should be able to understand and create advanced Batch Processes within Grooper. You will demonstrate these skills via a variety of in-class activities and a final assessment at course conclusion.</p>
<h3>OVERVIEW/SCHEDULE OF TOPICS</h3>
<ul>
<li>DAY 1: Overview of previous Grooper concepts, clarification based on real world business objectives</li>
<li>DAY 2: Develop deeper understanding of how to acquire content in Grooper, and of Image Processing (IP) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Profiles</li>
<li>DAY 3: Heavy focus on Separation, Classification, and Extraction methodologies</li>
<li>DAY 4: Discuss data export strategies, final overview and assessment</li>
</ul>
<h3>FLUENCY OBJECTIVES</h3>
<p>All class activities, and daily interactions are directed toward developing and assessing the following objectives.</p>
<ul>
<li>1. You know how and why you would leverage the different import options within Grooper</li>
<li>2. You can navigate the concepts of constructing an IP Profile to clean up your documents</li>
<li>3. You understand the different features of OCR Profiles and why they should be leveraged in various situations</li>
<li>4. You know how and why to use the different methods of Separation and Classification</li>
<li>5. You understand the full purpose of hierarchy and inheritance within a Content Model and Data Model</li>
<li>6. You can think creatively about how to use the different types of Extractors in any given situation</li>
<li>7. You can work through the logical concepts of nested references within Extractors</li>
<li>8. You understand how Lexicons and translation can impact Extraction and why</li>
<li>9. You know when and how to use the different types of Data Elements within a Data Model</li>
<li>10. You know what export options are available and how they can be leveraged</li>
</ul>
