[Bug] Data links don't work when created at the top level of a file share

Hi Team,

I would like to understand/troubleshoot the key validation errors I'm getting.

I shared a data link with a colleague using an impromptu fileglancer instance, but my colleague told me that she was unable to open the link (she was getting a path mismatch error).

I've started the server to listen on all IP addresses (0.0.0.0). And this was the the data link generated by fileglancer:

I did a second test in which I start fileglancer using the default locahost (127.0.0.1), and then reaching the server running an ssh proxy. I wanted to exclude that me changing the host was somehow affecting the key validation step. When I tried that I got a different error message (NoSuchBucket error):

Perhaps is also a question of understanding.
Does fileglancer supports only Zarr folders for the data link functionality?

Looks like you've found a bug: data links don't work when created at the file share level (i.e. the top level). We'll work on fixing that, thanks for reporting!

In the meantime, you can get around this by configuring your file share path at the parent directory (nif in your example) and then creating the data link on the folder within it (pharynx-results).

To answer your second question, data links should work on any folder (Zarr or non-Zarr). We'll update the text description on the Data Links page to reflect that.
