then we could exclude nfc_pass and use function better on other dat objects to do things like summarize with less rows (ie. density by species vs density by species and life stage or density by total number of fish)

I guess overall though its a pretty simple helper function and the nfc footnote included now might just make it easier to build a new and better function instead. Need to move the footnote to a flag with default true if we kept the same function but wanted to adapt

Not actually fish passage specific either so new function could be in another package (perhaps specific to fish and fish habitat reporting)
