Hi,

First off, thank you for taking the time to work on this. It's great work.

I'm a little new to Bluetooth Audio under Linux, so apologies for any inaccuracies.

I've managed to compile your repo and have now have bluealsa on my path. However, it's not clear how to then use aplay (or whatever) to play audio to my headset using the aptX. Am I right in thinking that I should use ad2p -- and if so, how can I verify that aptX is working?

You have to use a2dp.

Install bluez-hcidump and run sudo hcidump avdtp before connecting your device. You can observe how the two device negotiate the configuration in the output.
