Use <question> for MCQs?

I'm working this evening on PreTeXting a new Cal 2 outcome. While MCQs are used as TBL "application activities", would it make sense to annotate them as <question>s in PreTeXt?

I guess I'm sort of thinking about #79: if we mark MCQs as questions, it provides a clear contrast with other activities that are intended to produce written artifacts. Then it's easy for instructors to make rules like "I want you to upload photos of Activity solutions in this Google Drive" without making students think they need to document MCQ discussion somehow.

I guess I'd argue that many MCQs are also intended to produce written artifacts and should have photos uploaded as well.

There's a typesetting issue though where subparts of tasks are presented as (a) and multiple choice options are a. (except in the slides, where they are 1...). A separate tag might help with that, though <question> is not very descriptive (not all questions are multiple choice).

Hmm, I don't recall writing many MCQs where I cared strongly about students maintaining artifacts of their work, since most are meant to motivate and therefore are followed-up by Observations/Facts/etc. Regardless, that can still be determined by each instructor if MCQs are labeled as "Questions".

I like the suggestion for <choices> better than having <question>s that aren't <activity>s.
