Video Doesn't Open From Queue Playlist

Steps to Reproduce

Problem is intermittent, it only occurs sometimes. But when it happens here's how to replicate it.
When you open a YouTube video from your Playlist Queue and it finishes (or you manually stop it), you won't be able to open that same video again.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Use the "Add to Queue" from context menu and add ~15 or ~20 YouTube videos.
2. Open your playlist, open any YouTube Video from your Playlist which you added.
3. Either wait for the entire video to finish or stop the video manually (stop button) when it's playing.
4. Wait ~15 minutes or so
5. Try opening that same video from the playlist. An error dialog box will open.

Log is truncated to 1:00 long. I repeated the problem several times — by attempting to open the same video which fails (and it erroring) several times repetitively.

Additional Information

• Problem is intermittent, only only happens occasionally.

• I use lengthy queue playlists

• Issue has exited for for a very long time, ~year. Persisted across several Kodi OS upgrades and several YouTube Addon updates.

This was fixed a long time ago (xbmc/xbmc#19530). If it is not working now then there has been a regression in Kodi - it is unrelated to this addon as the problem affects all plugins.

To get this fixed properly the version of Kodi where this stopped working again needs to be identified. Try Kodi v21.0 (pretty sure the problem already occurred in this version) and work back from v20.5 through to v20.0 where this was first fixed.

It is possible to partially workaround the problem in the addon but the workaround is not particularly robust and relies on timing which can vary/fail.

Ultimately yes, but without a full debug log and a more definite indication as to which version the regression occurred in, then it is unlikely to be looked into.

Problem is intermittent, it only occurs sometimes.

I can only reliably replicate the issue when attempting to play a video that is unavailable (geo-blocked or removed). When this happens the next video in the playlist will start but will not be re-resolved when it is played again from the playlist, which indicates that the regression is related to this part of the original fix:
