Won't let me install for some reason.

M3 Pro
16 Gigs Ram
Tahoe 26.3.1

Under requirements: <!>macOS, Windows, Linux (is red) and won't let me move forward.

settings, integrations, find apify
macOS, Windows, Linux is in red, cannot install.

In that case, I'm not sure — this seems like a Claude Desktop issue, since the extension just states the requirements but they're validated by Claude Desktop. 🤷🏻

Are you able to create a Connector to connect to remote mcp.apify.com?

The red "macOS, Windows, Linux" indicator in Claude Desktop's integration installer typically means a prerequisite check has failed — most likely Node.js is not detected on the system. Since the server runs via npx @apify/actors-mcp-server, Node.js must be installed and accessible in the system PATH before the installer will proceed. Installing Node.js (v18+ recommended) from nodejs.org and then relaunching Claude Desktop should resolve the blocked requirement. If Node.js is already installed, it may not be on the PATH that GUI applications use — this is a common issue on macOS where shell PATH configurations in .zshrc/.bash_profile aren't inherited by non-terminal apps.

@JiwaniZakir the screenshot clearly says that Node.js was detected. I believe the root cause is somewhere else

If you're still hitting this: skip the extension installer and use the remote server instead — add a custom connector in Claude Desktop with URL https://mcp.apify.com. No local dependencies needed.
