closing the projects issues

If we close the issues, how does the project to website behavior get affected?
How will we handle this?

I think the easiest way is to create a backup snapshot as src/data/issues_2025.json

Then we have our live issues which track the 2026 projects which gets populated through github actions using the active issues. Once we get to 2027, we can make a backup of issues_2026.json and so on to keep the website lightweight as well.

That is a good option.

I was wondering if there might be an alternative approach—keeping all projects grouped under the current year and accessing them via a dropdown menu. We could also replace the “Projects” tab link in the archived years so that, instead of directing to the archived pages' Projects tab, it points back to the main page. Let me know if this isn’t clear, and I’d be happy to clarify further.
