Antenna Control issue

On ubuntu (24.04), running gpredict 2.4 the rotator control seems broken. when clicking the track button the AZ/EL values grey out previous but the values do not change to the selected satellite target values (stay at 180/45 degrees) and no output to hamlib. nor does hamlib receive a connection when engage button is clicked.
This works once reverted back to gpredict 2.3.115 - no other changes made.

Hi, i have the same issue on Debian 13 and Arch, it seems like it is caused by commit dfb7b02 since reverting its changes resolves the issue.
