Live heart rate data

Is there currently a way to read your current heart rate? Not resting or max
If not is it possible to add?

I don't think that comes from the server / through the API, so it won't be possible.

When you are i the Garmin Connect app, you can see current heart rate, but that is being transmitted direct from your device to the app, not being obtained from the server. The HR chart in the app gets its data from the server, but it only shows a point every 2 minutes.

So the best you could do via the API is to get the most recent point which will be up to 2 minutes old.

Probably the best option is to use the Broadcast HR function on your device, and an HR receiver. What do you want to use it for?
There are apps you can install on your phone that will receive live HR broadcast, or you could build your own with a suitable library.
