htmly use file_get_contents. Please check if the allow_url_fopen enabled or not in your server.

Hi Dan. It's enabled. That was the first thing I checked.

That's strange because I don't find that problem on any of my websites. Maybe you can check it in your server log.

I ran into this issue last night on a test blog (that was still on 2.9.9). The issue was resolved by completely removing the cache folder and recreating it. Just to be on the same side, you can also ensure to check the permissions on that folder (and ensure it's owned by www-data (if that's the user running your webserver).
