Provide a .deb package

Hi,

could you please provide a .deb package for an easy installation method on Debian based distros (Ubuntus, Mint, Zorin, etc.)?

It would also make it possible to add whatsit to deb-get:

Build Problems

• Debian stable does not have KF6 libraries available yet.
• One would have to build them from source and install them before building this app on Debian.
• Qt6Core libraries are older as well.
• The releases that are so far made (on Arch) are linked against newer libraries.

skill issue..?

• I am not much familiar with Debian. I tried building the app on a Debian machine but I quickly ran into problems.
• I have pretty much learnt the latest Qt and I have used many new features of Qt in the app.
• I encourage anyone with more knowledge to try and make a Debian package. If they are successful, they may let me know.
• I may be wrong about this information (about Debian), so feel free to correct me, if I am wrong.

If you think that there is a way to build the app (without much trouble), please let me know by reopening the issue. (Contributions to this end are welcome.)

Not the end...

• Because the Debian packages are behind, if I try to make the app using the older libraries, I would have to significantly change the source code.
• Perhaps a new branch can be created to back-port the code to older libraries.
• This is not an easy task to do alone. It will take time.

Collaborations/Contributions for this purpose are welcome as well.

Bottom line

• It would seem that trying to make the app work on Debian when its packages are old, may be difficult at the moment.
• For those using Debian, one would have to wait till their packages are updated, or make a build script that can compile the missing dependencies from source.
• And this is me, at my wit's end declaring this issue wontfix for the moment. And help wanted.

• I am currently researching packaging formats to ship the app (think flatpak, appimage, etc.)
• It is too early (we are talking C++) to rush to packaging solution. This is why I haven't uploaded a binary package to AUR as well. I am waiting for more users to test the app.
