This document describes the production-tested architecture of the EC2 Tag Compliance system. All features have been implemented, tested, and verified working in real AWS environments.

- Tag Parsing Fix: Resolved AI response parsing where "Key = Value" was incorrectly handled
- RFC Format Standardization: Enforced consistent tag names between RFC versions
- Bedrock Error Handling: Added graceful fallback when AI parsing fails
- 5-Stage Notifications: Implemented complete notification workflow
- Two-Pass AI Analysis: Structure extraction followed by value extraction
- RFC Consistency Critical: Inconsistent tag names between RFC versions cause Bedrock to return empty responses
- Format Matters: Must use
Key = Valueformat, notKey: Valuefor proper AI parsing - Fallback Works: System gracefully applies default tags when Bedrock fails
- Real-Time Performance: 15-30 seconds from launch to full compliance

- ❌ Tag drift detection (scheduled)
- ❌ Custom metrics
- ❌ WAF or Shield protection
- ❌ Advanced monitoring beyond basic alarms
The system currently only handles EC2 instances. Other AWS resources are not processed.
