i386 Failure: test_comp_spectrum_previewRender

Hi @tassaron,

Whilst updating the debian package, the CI for i386 architecture flagged a failure of the test test_comp_spectrum_previewRender, which I didn't fully investigated myself. full CI log here.

I'm opening this issue here so we can we can share updates and findings in case anyone else wants to investigate this.

At the moment I'm disabling this test on the debian package process, but the goal is to find out where this bug is coming from.

Result of the failed test is at line 3781

assert np.int32(71993239) == 71992628

This means the image returned was a slightly incorrect size.

One possible hint is that the Waveform component (which works the same as Spectrum) has a test where FFmpeg 6 creates different images from FFmpeg 8 here.

The FFmpeg version used in this log is "7:8.0.1-3+b2", which is almost the same version as the one used to write the test, but maybe the i386 version is somehow different.

There's a good chance this is not the answer, but I'll look into it sometime this month if we don't have other leads.
