Installation problem @Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS

Installation command: pip install python ends with:

"/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lz

collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

error: command 'x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc' failed with exit status 1"

Please add zlib1g-dev package as a dependency.

Hey, sorry - just came across this somehow. Have you figured the issue out ? Otherwise I'll check this.
