What happened?

10.01.02 -> 10.02.00 Web Config file not updated during upgrade.

Upgrade wizard generates The error "Could not load file or assembly 'System.Collections.Immutable, Version=8.0.0.0'"

Steps to reproduce?

Performed backup of site files as well as Database.

Unzipped UPGRADE files to site

Run Upgrade Wizard

Error generated The error "Could not load file or assembly 'System.Collections.Immutable, Version=8.0.0.0'"

I performed upgrades on two sites and received this error on both.

Current Behavior

Error The error "Could not load file or assembly 'System.Collections.Immutable, Version=8.0.0.0'"

Expected Behavior

Upgrade site to new version.

Relevant log output

Anything else?

NOTE: I manually edited the web config file to reflect
" 'System.Collections.Immutable, Version=9.0.0.0'"

Affected Versions

10.2.0 (latest v10 release)

Was this a clean upgrade or an existing site with other extensions on it? I ask because others venders might also use that library.

Working site with a couple of extensions. Xmod Pro and 2sxc come to mind.

What Theme (Skin) is in use? What other themes are installed?

Multiple extensions might request different versions of System.Collections.Immutable can you run this query in sql:

SELECT TOP (1000) [AssemblyID]
      ,a.[PackageID]
      ,a.[AssemblyName]
      ,a.[Version]
      ,p.Name
      ,p.FriendlyName
  FROM [dnndev].[dbo].[Assemblies] a
  JOIN Packages p
  ON p.PackageID = a.PackageID
  WHERE AssemblyName LIKE '%System.Collections.Immutable%'

As far as I know 2sxc uses 9.0.0 for their latest LTS and DNN uses 9.0.24 in a package, so that should have been updated in the web.config for you. So I am curious what else you might have in the above query.

And potentially also updated all 3rd party extensions prior to upgrading DNN might help with this issue...
