Hi, I'm not associated with dpath, but I thought I'd try to help.

I went to reproduce this using swagger-py-codegen (0.4.0), as at the stackoverflow question you linked to, but I ran into a different error, originating from an older version of PyYAML (4.2b1):

AttributeError: module 'collections' has no attribute 'Hashable'

I'm noticing that swagger-py-codegen hasn't been updated in about 4 years, which tells me that there may be an increasing number of problems in using it. If your goal is to generate an API from swagger code, there are other routes to do that, and I hope you've found at least one that works.

As for the dapth issue, do you have a code sample or command that causes the RecursionError? Knowing the specific versions of packages you're using, especially dpath, would be helpful.
