From our current conceptual model (see diagram) and recent discussions: key “devices” in Edge Mining are only truly usable once their related “connectors” are configured.
- Miner depends on a Miner Controller
- Energy Source depends on an Energy Monitor
Problem (current UX)
At the moment these elements are configured separately and from different areas of the UI:
- Miners
- Miner Controllers
- Energy Sources
- Energy Monitors
This fragmentation makes the setup process fragile and confusing for non-expert users:
- users can create “devices” that don’t actually work yet
- it’s not obvious what is required for a functional system
- the app can feel incomplete even after “adding things”
Goal
Improving the UX so that:
- adding a Miner naturally includes creating its Miner Controller
- adding an Energy Source naturally includes creating its Energy Monitor
In other words: device setup should guide users through the required connection setup, instead of forcing them to discover and configure these pieces in separate sections.
