Thanks for the report! This is most likely related to the issue we just fixed in #335 / PR #340.

The validation script (98_validate_installation.sql) runs all collectors as a smoke test during install. On first install, each collector had a first-run lookback that pulled 3-7 days of historical data (or in some cases, everything available). When all ~48 collectors run back-to-back in a single batch with a 5-minute timeout, it's easy to exceed that window — especially on servers with large Query Store databases or busy workloads.

We've reduced the first-run lookback from 3-7 days to 1 hour for all 8 collectors that had backfill logic. This should make the validation step complete well within the timeout.

The fix is on dev now and will be in tonight's nightly build if you'd like to test: https://github.com/erikdarlingdata/PerformanceMonitor/releases/tag/nightly

In the meantime — are the collectors running correctly post-install? If you connect the Dashboard and check the Collection Health tab, you should be able to see whether all collectors are succeeding on their regular schedule despite the validation timeout. The validation failure shouldn't affect the actual monitoring — it's just a post-install check.
