Non-public pages / permission issue

I'm trying to make an extranet, by putting a page on non-public and giving a user group permission to view the page. What I cannot get to work is showing members of this group not just the page, but also the content (page is blank for members of this group). So giving the group permission to make/edit some of the content on that page is also impossible. Could you look into that?

I need a few more details to understand. Do you want the group to be able to add/edit/delete modules from the page, or only content within an existing module on the page?

• Is this a normal 'content' page? sounds like yes
• Is the page marked as 'public'? sounds like no
• Have you created the group? sounds like yes
• Have you added members/users to the group? sounds like yes
• Are the group permissions for that PAGE set so the group can either 'View' or 'Manage' the page? sounds like yes

What type of module are they working in, Text?

• What module permissions did you give the group?

I've experimented with different settings. Everytime I put a page on non-public, the content (any content) disappears, just an empty node. Right now I made a stand alone with no links to it, but that was not the plan.

Ok, is the standalone page public or not?

Right now it's public, but I prefer to have it non-public

I'm able to reproduce this locally. You might try the following:

• As Super Admin, Exponent, Admin menu, Super-Admin Tools - Database - Repair Database to clean up any 'sectionref' issues
• If that doesn't fix it, go into Configure Website, the Security tab, and check off - Disable Privacy Check? This should most likely fix your issue as the Privacy Check can be overly strict.

I don't have the time right now to track the 'Privacy Check' issue down since it's a pretty complex recursive algorithm.
