Discussion

Hey everyone πŸ‘‹
I've been exploring the repo for a bit and wanted to open up a conversation around something I think could have a big impact β€” the onboarding experience for new contributors.
Right now, getting started requires jumping between the README, CONTRIBUTING docs, and various setup steps that can feel a little scattered, especially for folks who are newer to Web3 or Django-based projects.
A few things I've been thinking about:

Is the local dev setup still smooth end-to-end? I ran into a few hiccups and curious if others have too.
Would a "good first issue" guide or pinned discussion help? at social Something that walks through the why behind tasks, not just the what.
Are there areas of the codebase that feel underdocumented? Would love to know where contributors tend to get stuck.

Not proposing anything concrete yet β€” just want to hear from others who have gone through the process, whether you've been here for years or just opened your first PR.
What's worked for you? What would've saved you an hour (or three)? πŸ˜…
Open to all thoughts β€” drop them below πŸ‘‡
