Crash when selectively staging last change

Describe the bug

There's an off-by-one when you incrementally stage the last hunk of a file. maybe only if it's the last file in the list? anyway it happens to me constantly and I just pulled the latest version to try to fix, but it's still there.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

have multiple files changed, filter by only unstaged, start staging hunks. i've seen this happen a lot, but not every time?

Expected behavior

no crash

I briefly tried to reproduce this, but couldn't so far; I did see some misbehavior where junk gets staged, so this seems related, but it didn't crash on me so far. Note, I only saw misbehavior in files that don't end with a newline, and then changing the last line and trying to stage that.

So if you can come up with a more concrete recipe for making it crash, that would be helpful (like exact content of the file, and the change that you are trying to stage).
