I tested reading an IPXact 2009 file and Kactus2 could not read it.
After converting "spirit:" (ipxact 2009 and earlier) to "ipxact:" (IPXact 2014 and newer), Kactus2 could read it.
I was attempting to read the IPxact file generated by Xilinx Vivado 2025.1 IP generator.
Considering that Vivado is one of (maybe only) EDA tools that utilizes any version of IPXact,
it would be nice to be able to use Kactus2 to generate IPXact packages for user-generated IP that will work with Vivado. Not many people I know know how to package user-generated libraries for Vivado, or only package the bare minimum (VLNV).
I do know that there are XML Converters, but it would be nice if it was already handled in the Kactus2 GUI, and could open, save, and convert between those different IPXact [major] revisions.
