What happened

Many times my AirpodsPro 3 will connect to my Pixel via bluetooth but LibrePods will not detect it.

Therefore, the Airpods will treat the phone as a 'regular bluetooth' device, i.e.: conversation awareness doesn't work, my settings from LibrePods or iOS are not applied. For example, in LibrePods I have set Listening Modes to toggle between Adaptive and Noise Cancelling, however, when this state happens, the airpods will only toggle between Nosie Cancelling and Transparency.

You can see the Airopds are connected to the phone via bluetooth, however the LibrePods icon does not show the notification dot. When you open the app, it has not detected the APP3. I have to manually tap 'Reconnect to last connected device' - even though it's already connected to the phone.

yeah this app sucks. it doesn't detect my airpod max headphones, made my logitech mouse have to be re-pared EVERY fucking time i restarted my computer; so what's the point of it again? to supposedly unlock transparency mode? wow, great...

I'd rather have a working mouse and headphones. So I uninstalled this dumb app and everything works fine natively. bullshit app.

I understand the frustration but this is an app developed by a single guy and most of the functionality is available for free. No need to shit on other people's work

I'm really glad it exists and it works most of the time. I bet with rooted devices it's even better.

The app not showing controls- I'm not quite sure why this happens without logs. Here are a few general steps you can try:

• Force close the app and re-pair your AirPods
• Power down your AirPods, and clear the app's storage

Does the conversational awareness also sometimes not work even when the controls are shown in the app? If so, that's related to #571.

For the Press and Hold defaulting to ANC and Transparency-

• Is there an Apple device that connects between two connections to your Pixel? If the app is not able to connect, there's no reason for the AirPods to use only ANC and transparency.
• Also, are both buds are set to cycle through modes? The app handles the cycling when one of it is set to Digital Assistant because AirPods either send no long press data, or sends for both buds, making it impossible for the app to only ask for one bud to changed to a custom command.
  Either way this should be a simple fix when the app is successfully able to connect consistently unlike on your device- the settings can be overwritten every connect.

I don't really have to answer you, @cmoney113, this is completely off-topic; but I will if you can answer these questions:

• Which device are you using?
• How do you think that LibrePods, that only communicates with AirPods, is able to either
  • Talk to your mouse (unless for some reason it is advertising itself as AirPods, in which case ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
  • Talk to your computer to somehow force a re-pair with your mouse.

The point of the app is very clearly mentioned in the README, and it's not "unlocking transparency mode". I don't know where you're getting that from.
