This app looks like what I'm looking for, to forward arrival/departure notifications from Google Maps to my home server, but I see in the releases page the info "Updated release that will ask the user for permission to send SMS messages at runtime". If all it does is accept Android notifications (which are not the same thing as SMS messages) and forwards them via HTTP, why does it need permission to send SMS messages? If the code has other features such as an option to forward notifications via SMS, would you add that info to the description on the main page here please? I don't want to have to install a program and give it excessive permissions just in order to find out what it does. Thanks.
PS This request may be academic as I see in another Issue thread that the code may have stopped working for some later release of Android. If that's still the case, count this as another vote for an update. And I apologise in advance of you suggesting I submit a PR - although I am a programmer of some 50 years of coding, I have zero experience in programming under Android so can't offer to work on it myself. Really just looking for a ready-to-run apk - too many other projects to do, and too few enough remaining years to finish them, for it to make sense for me to learn the Android SDK just to fix one program.
