Feature request: use C2 pointers

Given the libcdio reports C2 errors (with compatible units) can incorporate this feature to cd-paranoia?
The original library is not developed almost 8 years ago and has been progress in libcdio (and its integration with cd-paranoia, as the detection and ripping HTOA...)
The no use of C2 is the only feature that "becomes obsolete" to cdparanoia. In modern drives, they could be used even less aggressive mechanisms reading.

You probably know about and understand this problem better than anyone else.

If you are up to it, please fork this code and work on it. I am certainly receptive to getting this in if someone is willing to work on it.

In UNIX, the only software that manages (currently) C2 pointers is XLD (for Mac)

Richard Feynman once said/wrote "what one fool can learn to do, another can also". Honestly, I knew nothing about CDDA, SCSI MMC, or any of that stuff before working on libcdio.

Knowledge about computer programming isn't as important as a willingness try. If you make a serious effort in this, I'll help out.
