I want to make it so a rapid response group (or any group) can run a single instance of Observer Vault, and multiple observers can use it at once. This could work with Signal groups. Here's how it should work:
- When Observer Vault joins a group, set disappearing messages to 30s
- Save all attachments to the group
- When a call starts, automatically answer
- If Observer Vault is the user in the call, hang up
- Each time anyone hangs up from the group, save their video
From the perspective of observers, there are a few things to consider:
- Your phone will ring when anyone starts a call to the group, and you likely don't want to answer. If you want to watch it, you can answer without your video and mic.
- When you're filming, you either start a call or join the ongoing call.
- You'll hear audio from everyone else in the call. You probably should turn your volume all the way down, and try to focus your own filming, not what other observers are filming.
