MapSwipe users reporting that their stats seem like less time than they have swiped

Describe the bug
At least three people have reported that their MapSwipe stats seem to be less than they expected.

I recently had insomnia and decided to swipe. I made a conscious effort to review my “time spent swiping”. This particular 5am moment I was currently at 1 hr and 4 minutes (which is way under actual time spent). I swiped for 1.25 hours and I looked 4 days later for another conscious effort and I’m only logged as 1:39 hours in total. My daughters and I have been swiping often over the last 3 weeks and the minutes aren’t accurate.

Will update once we get the info from the 3rd user (they wrote into the MapSwipe inbox.)

To add to this:

I saw that the Community Dashboard on MapSwipe production shows two days of mapping this month for one of my users, both with exactly 25s mapping time. I found that a bit suspicious.

In order to check, I mapped one task group on MapSwipe dev on 2025-03-13 against a stop watch. The mapping time was 68s. I checked in Firebase results and in Postgres mapping_sessions. Both had the correct start_time and end_time, resulting in a duration (end_time-start_time) of 68s.

I checked on the dev Community Dashboard today -- and saw that mapping time for the user on 2025-03-13 is shown as ... 25s

The issue I observed seems to be specific to projects of type Street and unrelated to the issue described above. I opened a separate #1017

Update

We checked the database to see if there were any anomalies in the community dashboard and found out that the stats showing in the community dashboard are accurate.

Investigation

User 1: Eduardo (HzX3zLudoJTWntZtffWZDzSe3YZ2)

Findings:
Eduardo's stats of January includes only one day i.e. Jan 9th, 2025. The total swipe time was 5 minutes.

User comments: Yesterday I spent 23 minutes on MapSwipe, yet the app only logged me for 11 minutes. I stand to lose a lot because of this error, so I would like to get help in recovering the missing time that should be there.

I asked if he ended his Mapping Session, his response:

I have no info on the other than I spent 23 mins and it showed up as less than that, and the error cost me a lot.
