numpy version

Hello, I'd like to install and test PIHAM in an existing environment. I see there's a strict dependency to a specific version of numpy (1.22.0), that would cause a cascade of downgrades in the environment. Has PIHAM been tested on other (more recent) versions of numpy (i.e. numpy 2.x.x)?

Hello! Thanks for your interest in PIHAM :)

Unfortunately, the code has been developed using Python 3.8, and it does not support more recent versions of numpy. The specified versions in requirements.txt are chosen to avoid conflicting dependencies between the packages.

Sorry to bother. I'm playing with dependencies and noticed that

• scikit-tensor-py3 is not maintained anymore (the author suggests tensorly as alternative)
• installing functorch via pip raises issues with the version:

ERROR: Cannot install functorch==1.13.0, functorch==1.13.1 and functorch==2.0.0 because these package versions have conflicting dependencies.

The conflict is caused by:
    functorch 2.0.0 depends on torch<2.1 and >=2.0
    functorch 1.13.1 depends on torch<1.13.2 and >=1.13.1
    functorch 1.13.0 depends on torch<1.13.1 and >=1.13.0

Just to be sure: is there any chance that the functionalities of PIHAM have been (or are being) merged into another library (e.g. ProbINet or graph-tool)?

Unfortunately, I am aware of these conflicting dependencies when using newer versions of Python. Therefore, we have already planned to update the code and also include it in ProbINet. However, I am not sure about the actual timeline.
