After switching focus, the cursor always resets to the start of the file

• open a file in hex editor
• scroll down a bit and put the cursor somewhere in the middle
• switch focus to another app
• switch back to VScode
• the file is scrolled back to the top and the cursor is back at the start of the file.

This is on macOS.
