Internal compiler error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Internal Error compiling at ProcessTaskManager

Clone this project, checkout branch bugvsc, open it with code . --profile "new" --user-data-dir $HOME/new, trust it, accept to install Extension Pack for Java, and observe the error spring: Internal compiler error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Internal Error compiling /jarisbugs/src/main/java/io/github/oliviercailloux/jaris/credentials/KeyCredential.java at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.compiler.ProcessTaskManager.processing(ProcessTaskManager.java:139).

Oddly enough, I have been working on this project for months, and these files have not changed since long, but today suddenly the error appeared while I was working on another part of the code (unrelated), and now it will not disappear even though I have deleted all files but these three on that branch.

Perhaps related to this one but I thought better to open a new issue because that one apparently was linked to a bug that has been solved since, whereas I see the problem with the latest version of VS Code.
