Need steps to get the system up

Greetings,

I would like to use cm3. However, the documentation is insufficient to get the system up on my Linux machine. (I have more than 20 years of experience with C and Unix.)

It would be helpful if someone who knows the system could boot a vanilla Linux VM, build and install cm3, and then document the steps. Without that information, the system is unusable to anyone new.

I am happy to write the docs if someone is willing to assist me in getting the system running.
