Waybar Theme

Hello,

I'm really enjoying ML4W OS and have been using it on an Arch system for about a year.
I have a question about the Waybar theme:

The default theme is 'glass' and I like to use 'transparent'.

Every time I update ML4W, the theme shifts back to 'glass'. I have tried to find where 'glass' is set as default without success.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction to change the default to 'transparent', or protect my change to 'transparent' so updates don't change it back to 'glass'?

Not 100%, but maybe using the "custom.conf" file can help you, if I am not wrong, that file does not get changed when updating

Thank you for your kind assistance.
That does not seem to work unfortunately. Perhaps I'm using the wrong syntax (theme="transparent")?
When I perform an update, any text I add to the custom.conf file gets removed.

You are right, just updated from 2.12 to 2.12.1, and yes, my custom conf got erased. This did not happened when I updated to version 2.12 from the previous

I think I will find the solution for my Waybar Theme question in the ML$W video: Create a custom Waybar Theme for Hyprland: ML4W Dotfiles Insights. I'll need to go over it a few times for a better understanding.

If it helps, I have been able to protect my preferred time/date format by creating a blacklist file as shown here: https://ml4w.com/os/configuration/preserve-config

If you can rebuild your custom.conf file, it can be protected during updates by not unchecking this line during the update -
