We should create an utility functions to sort arrays

Can you provide an example of what kind of array you want to sort?
or what exactly is needed that javascript .sort function (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/Array/sort#parameters) doesn't already support?
