Android: Pictures are not uploading

Just freshly installed OC-Client on Android. Great to see that you can automatically upload pictures and videos. However enabling it and chosing the right location it does not upload any pictures.
Opencloud does not show up in the apps who have the right to access the picture folder. But as well not as an app which does not have this right. Means it never tried?
What do I miss?

Ok, I missed: it only does if for new pictures. No possibility to therefore use is to backup old pictures :-(

I had the same issue. First of all:
It has 15 minute timer. Every 15 min it sends "ping". The worker is running. It will upload every 15min.

U have to be sure the Personal Location is correct. Just choose the root, select the correct media folder and wait 15min. Can u give feedback

I was thinkinf about to add an easily Implementation for backing up old folders, but my opened PRs need to get merged, its a disaster otherwise. They all affect uploading etc and the opencloud team is short on android resources to handle too many features in short time

It will be possible soon - It will have foreground Worker which will in background upload all pics u select, much faster and stable without crashes (resumable uploads)

But i think to make sure people won't jump back to privacy-desaster alternatives the app needs such a feature, it would be really nice ^^ can look into it in future PR after the already existing ones are merged

Ok, I just figured out one thing: in my setup, the "upload pictures via wifi only" setting causes uploading to never trigger.

Yesterday I had to uninstall/reinstall the app because of the "certificate expired, sign in again" bug. I then configured pictures and videos upload as usual and nothing happened (but the "last synchronization" label kept updating every now and then). This morning I took a photo and it wasn't uploaded. Then I finally tried to disable the "upload pictures via wifi only" flag and less than 30 seconds later, the picture was being uploaded.

Please, as a temporary workaround just place a button that re-uploads every picture/video when pressed. I can even live with duplicates (I can remove them myself via cron job on my Raspberry Pi) but I can't live with a completely non-working app.

Should re-test this with 1.2.1 open testing when it's out
