I propose we rename our stablecoin from DigiDollar (DD) to DUSD. While "DigiDollar" has community appeal, DUSD offers significant strategic advantages:
This shift positions our project not just as a community token, but as a foundational pillar for global decentralized finance on DigiByte. Let's build a system ready for the world. Formal Name: DUSD |

DUSD delivers dual semantic resonance that strengthens brand positioning. For users familiar with the DigiByte ecosystem, the "D" in DUSD naturally evokes "digi," linking the stablecoin to its DGB-collateralized, UTXO-based roots . This continuity is vital for retaining the existing community that values its integration with one of the longest-running UTXO blockchains . For new adopters, DUSD immediately signals "Decentralized USD"—a critical distinction in a market saturated with fiat-backed stablecoins like USDT and USDC. This clarity highlights DigiDollar’s core advantage: no central issuer, on-chain collateral verification, and alignment with DigiByte’s ethos of trustless decentralization .
DD, on the contrary, fails to convey any useful information—no one can guess what it stands for just from these two letters.
