Do we lose access to the subscription usage with this Anthropic policy change in T3 Code?

Yeah it uses claude-agent-sdk so looks like it's toast as is. I currently have codex hacking together a ClaudePTY adapter to use the interactive app directly. So stupid we have to do this cause of Anthropic.

Here is my🖕to anthropic, uses the Claude terminal directly instead of -p or agent SDK. The trick is don't try and read the response from the terminal, it's too messy with control characters for the TUI. Instead monitor and read the claude responses out of the jsonl session files, it's clean and works without as many hacks.

My repo is forked pretty far from origin but hopefully this adapter can be dropped in for those trying to get around this.

Would the T3 Code team be able to merge this into the next release? 🙏 I’d love to continue using T3 Code together with Claude Code.

So my repo has a lot of differences from the original, for example there are references like this in ClaudePtyAdapter:

(input.interactionMode === "auto")

Which is a Ralph loop style mode I added based on the leaked claude code Kairos feature. Also stuff like:

This is for being able to add remote projects over ssh, works well for orchestrating multiple mac minis from one T3code instance.

Point being this adapter won't be compatible with base T3Code out of the box. I'm not even sure if Theo and co want the heat of integrating an explicit workaround like this, for one it's still going to be brittle and two who knows what Anthropics lawyers would do.

I'd highly recommend just forking T3Code and then pointing codex or claude to this ClaudePtyAdapter file and have them integrate it in your fork. This way you can keep using claude but would still fly under the radar of Anthropic (hopefully).
