In React Native 0.81, in all environments on a Vivo S7 running Android 10, attachments cannot be uploaded through the file manager. I hope the author can take a look and fix this bug as soon as possible.

your error is "attachments cannot be uploaded through the file manager".

I have no idea what file manager you have in mind (and this package has little to do with file uploading), so I'll comment only about what I do know, which is "error": "Could not read file metadata",: Reading of the metadata such as size and etc happens here - you can run this on your device and try to investigate why there is the error.

There's not much more I can do because I never saw the error you're seeing.

This issue occurs on vivo S7 and Redmi 9A, both running Android 10, and it has a significant impact on the plugin’s usability.

It is likely related to the plugin update being unable to properly access files from the system file manager. Starting from Android 10, it is no longer possible to directly access system files via the “Downloads” tab. Instead, users must select files through the system-provided file picker.

When entering the system file picker on Android, users are presented with selectable categories such as Photos, Files, Audio, etc., from which they can choose files. This issue is very easy to reproduce.

Additionally, on Redmi 9A, opening the Downloads section fails completely and shows a “Loading failed” message. As a result, users can only browse files through the internal storage, which is extremely time-consuming when trying to locate files for upload.

This appears to be a compatibility issue that only occurs under specific conditions.

I am using import mode, but I am unable to retrieve the actual file data. The result only contains a virtual URI and the file type.
