Add shap

I am one of the maintainers of shap and we would like to build nightly wheels and follow SPEC 4.

Thanks for the issue, @CloseChoice. shap is a bit of a different library use case than most of the other tools that we're supporting, but we currently have the storage space, so we're happy to support shap. We see that you already know some of the procedure given shap/shap#4079, but please have a member of the shap team complete the missing items from the checklist to get started.

• Create an account on Anaconda.org
• Reply here with the link to your account (https://anaconda.org/tobiaspitters)
• Make a new Anaconda Cloud API token with permissions described in https://scientific-python.org/specs/spec-0004/#process-for-adding-new-projects

• Save the API token as a repo GitHub Actions secret named ANACONDA_ORG_UPLOAD_TOKEN
• Direct @scientific-python/nightly-wheels-developers to a shap nightly wheel for us to upload to create the package in the registry
• Verify that we have added you to the shap team "Group" on https://anaconda.org/scientific-python-nightly-wheels
• Verify that we have added the package scientific-python-nightly-wheels/shap to the shap team "Group"

If you'd also like to use the scientific/upload-nightly-action GitHub Action please check out the action repo's README. If you need to collect wheels from different CI jobs, consider creating a new GitHub Actions workflow with logic similar to matplotlib's or Awkward's.

EDIT: just saw that you mentioned "member of the shap team". The shap organisation currently has only 1 member and a couple collaborators, but all are considered maintainers and have the corresponding rights for most things. Would we need a member to create the account?

@CloseChoice you mentioned that you were a maintainer of shap, so I think that's fine that you are the person who is the team contact. We'd like there to be multiple team members on each project though, so if there's others who would like to create Anaconda.org accounts that would be great.

@CloseChoice Hm. You're on the shap team, but maybe you have permissions through the API but not to view the scientific-python-nightly-wheels team groups? Not 100% sure, but I can follow up on that.

If you direct us to a wheel (can be any wheel for now if you don't have a nightly build yet) we can then generate the project and then you can start adding nightlies through CI/CD.

@matthewfeickert probably API access is enough, thanks a lot. I'll check if everything works and come back if I run into problems.

@CloseChoice https://anaconda.org/scientific-python-nightly-wheels/shap is now live with a v0.47.2 wheel. You should be able to start uploading nightly wheels whenever now (and should be able to delete the v0.27.2 wheel once you've done so.

Let us know once you've been able to upload nightly wheels and also let us know if you have any questions. 👍
