CDROM emulation

I was wondering myself if something like the PicoGUS's CD-ROM emulation could work with ISABlaster.

I don't think it can work with the current version of the ISABlaster because there is no way to hook up an sd-card (that is without wiring it up by hand). The new version (which I have yet to release :( ) can be extended so you could hook up devices like an SD card.

Beautiful! I'm looking forward for this new version and I also hope that you find enough time to continue with this project. I wish my knowledge could be of any help in this project but unfortunately I'm afraid not. Thank you very much.

I think the PicoGUS is actually using USB storage for it, not an SD card, so it might be possible to port it to the current version of the PCB.

You're absolutely right! They're using the USB port to allow external storage with the CD images. For me personally, that makes a lot of sense since physical cdrom drives (specially the old IDE ones are all already failing due to mechanical aging, just like old HDDs) and by allowing an easier and cheaper project like ISABlaster to act as a CDROM device, it would really be the sweet spot for me. I don't think it would just be a copy and paste work tho, but I'm excited that it is even possible.
