Installation issue: file names too long

Setting up Dokuwiki on Windows 11 with Dokuwiki-on-a-stick. Attempting an install via my Extension Manager only gets the 30 second timeout with no install.

Doing a manual install of the tarball I receive repeated "filename is too long".

Is this plugin specific to Linux and not compatible with Widows?

Thank you for responding. I've not seen this issue on anything before. I'll poke around and hopefully find a solution so I can use the plugin. Let me know if something comes to mind from your side.

Windows does have a limitation on path length. Sometimes I hit it when unzipping from within a deep folder. If you move the zipped file to the top level of the drive and try to unzip from there it night work.

Here's an image of the error report I get:
"G:\My Drive\Shared Documents\dw2pdf file length error.png"

Notice the action is on a usb drive (Sansdisk 256GB) since I'm running my preparation setup on Dokuwiki-on-a-Stick.

I did a dummy install on my laptop's C Drive and no error messages at all.

Tomorrow (Friday) I'll try to take time for a support call to Sansdisk ... and then try it on another small usb drive.

Well I just tried installation again from the Dokuwiki site and got an exception of taking too long. I then d/l the tar.gz and did the manual install, getting my previous errors: Filename you specifie is not valid or too long. Specifify a different filename. I received this erro dokuwiki.yml (175 bytes), .gitignore (212 bytes) and so on.
So came here to github and d/l the zip and did a manual install. It went well, just had to rename the plugin subfolder.

I believe there must be a corrupt Dokuwiki tar.gz. Anyway, my error experience has been resolved ... just have to configure this most helpful plugin.
