</p>
<p align="justify"> <b> Dr. K A Krishna Murthy</b>, popularly known as <b>K.A.K</b>, is an internationally renowned
engineering teacher, researcher, writer and educationist. Before taking over
as the principal of Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (SSIT), he also
has served as the Principal of Malnad Engineering College, Hassan, from 1997. </p>
<p align="justify">
He holds Ph.D from IIT, Mumbai. Besides teaching, which is his passion,
Dr. Murthy has also tried his hand in research. He was a Research Fellow
at the University of Manitoba in Canada during 1981-82. Later in his career
he was a Visiting Professor at the same university. He was a Visiting Consulting
Professor at the Asea Brown Boveri, Switzerland during 1988-89. </p>
<p align="justify">
In an unblemished teaching career spanning over three and half a decades,
Dr. Krishna Murthy has won several laurels and published many books, and
presented numerous papers at many international conferences. He was a recipient
of several awards and won accolades over the years. </p>

<li>J C Bose Memorial Gold Medal (IETE).
<li>Best Citizen of India Award from International Publishing House, New Delhi.
<li>Mother Teresa Excellence Award from Front for National Progress .
<li>National Parisara Rathna Award from Kuvempu University .
<li>Life Time Achievement Award from International Institute of Education and Management .

He was the Chairman of Karnataka State Core Committee for improvement of
Polytechnic Education in the State- Report is regarded as the landmark in
the Polytechnic Education. </p>
